Each day adolescent women from across the greater Atlanta-area are brought together at Jesse’s House to find something they are missing - understanding and support through a loving environment. Working with a number of young ladies, presenting a variety of different backgrounds, Jesse’s House is a non-profit organization that provides emergency and long-term care to youth who have suffered abuse or delinquency that grew out of the recognized need by the Cumming / Forsyth Council on Youth and Concerned Citizens for an emergency children’s shelter in the North Georgia area.

Designing Dreams, the charitable foundation created by Cumming design firm Allison Havill Todd Interiors, announces the winner of their 2010 $20,000 room makeover.

TAKE A MINUTE...

In an attempt to compile my thoughts and process them into words for this article, I had to force myself to remove the distractions of my everyday life. I turned off the TV, the cell phone, closed out the internet and my email and just took a moment to think about things. Quiet is good – you should try it sometimes. We live in a world where precious things are not forgotten but often overlooked.
