Best Golf Tips For Women Golfers

​Hallway Plumbing is hosting their 4th annual Jim Vandiver Memorial Golf Tournament and Jesse’s House has been chosen as this year’s beneficiary. The event will take place May 6th, 2022 at Lake Lanier Islands Golf Resort.
 
​We are very grateful to be represented and excited to support all of the participants. That being said, we want to get everyone prepped by providing you with some of our best golf tips. Golf is a complex game whether you’re a seasoned player, or just starting out. Below are a few techniques to consider, while of course having a great time supporting of an even greater cause. 

 Top 3 Basic Golf Tips

• Having a proper grip

 Your golf swing is built around your grip. It is what gives you control of your swing, so if it is off everything else will be off too. Begin by hanging your hands and shoulders naturally. From there, place the club in your left hand while aligning the clubface to your target line. This will allow the club to run diagonally across your fingers as the butt is on the bottom portion of your heel pad. Your right hand will then wrap around the club as you place the pad over your left thumb. 

• Following through with your swing 

Similar to your grip, your swing needs to be relaxed as well. While hitting the ball calculated and powerfully is important, it should not be your only strategy. Focusing too much on strength will end up producing a jerky swing. Your swing actually requires more mental strength. Staying relaxed and following through allows the ball more accuracy and velocity. 

• Let it glide

You will know you are doing something right when you hear the “whoosh.” When you’re practicing, concentrate on producing that sound from your swing. When you remain relaxed and let the club exude control, you will achieve said “whoosh.” This tip may sound simple or silly, but it relieves your swing and ensures that it is more dynamic.
